Nautivar Octopus Form Handcarved Solid Wood Sculpted Vessel Sink
Nautivar Octopus Form Handcarved Solid Wood Sculpted Vessel Sink
Tentacles coil and reach across the outside of this basin, every curl following the grain. The Nautivar octopus form handcarved solid wood sculpted vessel sink is a working wash basin and a carved sculpture in one. Each is handcrafted to order.
Shape and Story
The exterior is dense with high-relief detail, a maximalist take on organic design with an almost baroque richness. Inside, the bowl turns smooth and quiet, a calm counterpoint to the motion around it.

Material and Making
It is carved by hand from one solid hardwood block chosen for tight grain and strong tonal contrast. Inside, the bowl is scooped out and polished so water drains cleanly, and a finish brushed on by hand deepens the figure. It is veneer-free, one continuous piece, with nothing to assemble. It sits on standard vanity tops as a freestanding vessel.
It suits bold bathrooms, ornate vanities and vintage-style fixtures. Because each sink is cut from natural hardwood, grain and tone will vary, and every one is made to order.
